Zune Accessories are on the Shelf…

November 11, 2007 · 3 Comments

So, I was out with my son today doing some Christmas Window Shopping to find out what to pay Santa for this year. There are some really cool toys out there. Well, I decided to pop into a couple Geek Toy Stores too! Here’s what I saw today. 1st I will say that I "SAW" a 4GB Flash Zune, but the guy wouldn’t let me buy, photograph, or really touch it. (it was in the box anyhow) Wal Mart Wally World had a full line of accessories on the shelf in the pretty new official packaging. The Car Kit, Premium... [Read the full story]

Vaja to the Rescue!

July 9, 2007 · 4 Comments

Today I received the Vaja Classic Horizontal Pouch that I ordered for my AT&T 8525 (aka HTC Hermes) phone. The Classic Horizontal Pouch fits the following devices: P3600, P3300, TyTN, Hermes, Magician, Prophet, Tornado, and Wing. (HTC/T-mobile) The case measures 4.5? long x 2.5? wide and 1.5? thick. It is made of red (color-passion) vitelino leather with the same color aniline leather accent strip. The pouch is a custom case, which allows the customer to order their choice of colors and leathers (aniline or vitelino). ... [Read the full story]

Hello world!

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!

Got Zune? Huh, Yeah!!!

gotzunelogo No, No… I don’t have a Zune yet either… But I do have something I have wanted for a long time. A Zune Blog!

Got Zune is a Blog about the Microsoft Zune. Got Zune has been a long time coming. It’s now, finally, alive and kicking. Got Zune will feature news, tips, reviews, and discussion about the Microsoft Zune!

Got Zune will not replace Zune reporting here at Mobilitysite at all. Just like Tiltsite.com, Got Zune will be a lot more detailed than the general Zune Reports we give here. The site will interact with Mobilitysite and will share the same Zune Forums that are already in place at Mobilitysite.

What took you so long?
Well that’s a good question and I will be 100% honest. When the original Zune came out, I was really excited. Being a Microsoft MVP, Mobile Devices, this was something was really looking forward to. Here is where it gets kind of sappy… A good friend of mine, Jason Dunn, created Zune Thoughts. Plain and simple, I didn’t want to copy nor compete with a friend. I had thought about it but I procrastinated long enough and Jason beat me to the punch. I was really busy with my other sites that I didn’t really mind though.

Weeks and months have gone by and as we approach Zune 2 Launch, I really wanted to help the Zune Community with my own gig. I revitalized DAPsite.com (previously DellDJsite.com), but I really didn’t want to cram Zune down the throats of a general DAP site. I created another blog with Zune in the title, but it took a week to type it in. So I decided on GotZune.com. Yippee!

My Zune Evangelism has already been noted!
Even though this site is brand new, I have been hot on the trails evangelizing the Zune. When Zune originally launched, I was at the store buying the hell of them. I bought 3 the 1st day. I ended up giving a couple away too.

I covered the launch in detail on Mobilitysite.com and my Youtube videos showed many the glory of the Zune! My Video 1st Look and Microsoft Zune 2nd Look received 1000’s of views and I have gotten over 200 emails asking more about Zune and many emails thanking me for turning them on to Zune.

Who is behind Got Zune?
So, far, just a couple of us! Read the About page to see who…

Check out Got Zune!

Wal Mart
Wally World had a full line of accessories on the shelf in the pretty new official packaging. The Car Kit, Premium Ear Buds, Charger, etc… all with the 3 logos that indicate that they will work with the 80, 30, and 8/4 GB models. Wal Mart had Zunes in the back with a street date so they wouldn’t even ring up if they wanted to sell early.

Circuit City
Nothing to be found as far as display, etc. They did have the Charge/Sync cable in the new retail packaging and the 8/4 GB Leather case.

Target
Just like last year… I asked one of the guys, "Hey, do you work in the area?" He said Yep. I asked him what he knew about the new Zunes and he replied, " What’s a Zune?" OMG. LOL Anyhow, Target has the new mock ups on a display with a little literature, but no Zune in sight. No accessories either.

I did get a good idea what my son wants for Christmas though!

Pink Zune Unboxing and Pics

Last week I posted a link to a new Zune offering from Ford. This was a pink special edition Zune. The cool thing is that the proceeds (100% of them) go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Well, I jumped all over this opportunity. A pink Zune and helping a good cause at the same time, what could be better? I got it in today! (ps. Make sure to check out Steve’s 16gb Sansa View pictures too!)

There is an unboxing video and couple more pictures after the break.

Leaked Zune support documents

If you are interested in learning a little about the new Zune software to come, Zunescene has a 47 page leaked support document that appears to be for training of support persons. One thing that I noticed from the Engadget post, is Podcast support. We already knew this, but it’s good to be reassured. Speaking of Podcasts, now that I am almost done revamping DAPsite.com, I need to get back on it.
